Beltane Ritual - Church of the Earth, Raleigh, NC

Sunday, May 3, 2pm to 3pm

Red Ribbon OfferingBeltane falls exactly opposite Samhain on the Wheel of the Year. Both Sabbats mark points in time when the veil between the worlds is particularly thin. Beltane is the celebration of the Earth being in full bloom, humans included. During this time the healing powers of water from sacred wells is amplified by this surge of creative energy. In ancient Rome, coins and other offerings were left at wells and pools, and the tradition continues to this day.

Come play and be merry as Ric and Melissa lead a ritual to celebrate the powers of water by creating our own symbolic sacred well in the gardens.

Everyone is encouraged to dress for the occasion. Think Faeries and Green Man and the brightness of Summer. Bring wreaths to adorn your hair, bring sashes and brightly colored veils and scarves to wear and wave, bring anything else bright, shiny and jingly that you think might be fun.

This is a family friendly event, so bring everyone out! It will be held at Gaia's Gardens, 855 West Morgan St, in Raleigh.
